Learn how to preserve tomatoes using various methods, allowing you to enjoy the harvest throughout the winter months! There will be a demo!
We will discuss the difference between Heirloom, Hybrid, Organic, Indeterminate and Determinate Tomatoes, Selecting the Best Tomato (for sauces, salsa, canned tomatoes, pickling…), Adding Herbs, and Storing.
We will also discuss whether tomato products should be water bath/steam canned or pressure canned.
